I have 2008 6.4 Powerstroke, had to do the thermostats and had to have the driver side battery tray/ Degauss/ Vacuum reservoir out. There are 2 take-off the vacuum reservoir (under the battery tray), small one goes to a tree, one way from the tree goes to the vacuum pump the other way it goes the 4x4 solenoid. The other hose I am missing (4c3z-9c493-AA ford part number). What I can't find out is where the other end of the that vacuum hose connects too? Ford schem doesn't show it. My mechanic thought it was a drain for the battery tray, my ford parts guy thought it went to the degauss, it appears like neither guess is right. I attached the ford schem the call-out part number is "9C493". It shows the 1 end connected the vacuum reservoir the other end goes nowhere.
I've been locking the hubs manually for a little while now, would like to fix it while I have it apart. Thanks for the help

I don't speak French, but perhaps that might be a French translation. You'll never see "degauss" used for a replacement for "degas" by any English-speaker who knows the subject matter.
