New here and hoping for someone can help a rookie mechanic. I have a '74 supercab with a 360 and 2100 2bbl carb. I have no idea if the variety of replacement parts on it are correct or not....but here goes. Truck runs pretty bad at part throttle (stumbles). If I mash the gas, I can accelerate through the stumbling. So I take a look. No vacuum line on the EGR (do I really need this anyway?). There are two temperature controlled vacuum switches, one in the water jacket that has three outlets, and one in the intake manifold that is not being used at all. I have a couple of books, but can't match anything I have to what is in the truck. The references show two vacuum ports on the distributor and I have only one. Do I need to attempt to replumb the vacuum temp switches or is there a simpler and more direct way to do this? Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Yes you need a vacuum hose on the egr, unless you put a block off plate where the egr is. I have a 74 f100 w/ 390, and the egr hose hooks to the vacuum delay valve. The best diagram I have seen is in the 1974 Shop Manual, I got off of ebay.
I'll leave the rest of the vacuum ?s to the other members with more experience than me. Right now I am trying to replace my worn emission system.
I found a ford vacuum diagram on google. Just search for your year or motor on google and look in the images tab. Mine was on the first page that came up.
Thanks for the replies. I was able to find a decent representation of my truck. The PVS in the intake manifold is clogged(broken?) so I bypassed it. There is no need to replumb this into the circuit is there?
