Want to start flushing and sealing my C6, there seem to be a lot of generic filter kits and then I see some that delineate 4wd ? Looks like the 4wd kits have a short spout that comes down off the filter housing for a pickup in a deeper pan Im not home right now and wont have it off until the weekend, thought I would ask before I order a filter kit..... coming off a 76' F250 4wd........ and I have no reason to believe its not the original tranny. Thanks in advance....... Also any recommendations has to a brand or make for the filter kit, or does it really matter for that ?

Reason: I cant spell
As far as I remember, the pan was it. I think the 4x4 pan was like deeper or higher capacity maybe, not sure why. maybe they figured extra slopes needed more oil. I thought when I did it the kits came with both sumps, and you used the deep or shallow for what you needed.

You are correct good sir!
Here's what the 4WD and 2WD filters look like, taken from my own build thread.
Note that you MUST KEEP your pick-up tube for the 4x4 filter! These are not supplied with the filter and cost extra ($$$$).
Thanks to GIGGER, I'm putting in the proper transmission filter (thanks again for noticing this GIGGER!).
4x4 filter out.
2WD (proper) filter in. Lubed up like crazy because I want to keep the interals wet until I actually install this C6 in my truck. Currently it's all lubed and prepped, just needs to be filled.
