Can you give us some more info? What kind of engine is it? How many miles? Was the battery tested or replaced when the alternator was replaced?

That's an extremely low mileage truck. If it was a diesel with higher mileage I was thinking glow plugs with you being up north. Did it have problems starting(turning over but not firing, slow start like a dead battery, etc) or was it more of a rough idle after it started?

Get a volt meter and look at the charging system basics. The during cranking, the voltage may drop to the 10 volt range, but if it goes lower that would not be good. Sometimes you need to do a few experiments to determine whether a battery is "bad" or whether you have something on that is running the battery down.

I guess you know this, but in terms of cranking, charging, and the battery, your truck is just like every car ever made by anybody. No special anything. You could ask these questions in a Camaro forum and the suggestions would be just fine. I just mention that in case you get a chance to compare it to some other experience.

either a bad battery or starter. check your battery voltage with the engine off and then when starting for starter draw and while the engine is running for alternator charging voltage
