6.0, 2004 neutral switch

Is the neutral switch on a 2004, 6.0 inside the tranny pan? It's not on the outside of the trans. And not under the dash as far as I can see. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it's inside the trans pan.

6.0, 2004 neutral switch

Thank you for the info, now I will try to adjust the shifting cable first to hopefully fix the no crank issue. By moving shifter back and forth a lot It started in neutral twice then was able to start it in park once. Seams like an adjustment is needed. I hope it is not the switch. Any thoughts?
