Back up camera question?
Just put a new head unit (sound stream) in my 2011 f250. When doing the wiring a wire off the head unit is pink and labeled reverse 12v? What is the purpose of this wire?
Trying to connect a back up camera. Thought I just connected the red camera wire to the reverse light for power, and black wire to ground. Then run the yellow cable to the head unit.
Just confused upon seeing this pink reverse 12v wire now...

That wire should tell the head unit that your in reverse and to switch to the back up cam input if you have it selected to switch automatically. What are you using for a camera I thought about doing a camera as well I wire it all up when I put in my radio.
