Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Started out this morning at 31 and we are up to 35° under sunny skies. Went out and plugged the pickup in at 0530...
Got the old pellet stove insert out and the new one put in today. Duel room fans now, exhaust fan, heat exchanger pass around vent/tube are all accessed from the front of the stove in the fire box. I can even clean the flue without having to take the insert out of the fireplace and the flue seal has been redesigned for a better mating and seal, although we never had a problem with that on the old stove.
Started to do a four hour high heat burn in earlier, but within 45 minutes to an hour it was too hot in here to stand it. We'll do that tonight after the temps have dropped and we can leave the front door open.
After that, we can use it in the room temp/thermostat automatic mode.
They've got a big "safe and sane" Halloween party at the high school for all the trick or treat crowd. Between that and the not so good weather, it put a big dent in the number we had last year. We'll see of the wonderful weather we are having today/tonight doesn't get them out for a candy run this year.

I've got 5 broken knuckles. Apparently the Warden doesn't think I need to reach into the bag of goodies either!
We're up to 48 kids and a couple of 'young adults'. More than last year. Perhaps I should go take that bloody zombie that's out there moaning and howling off the front yard...
Hey Guys! Long time I know, shame on me.... how’s everyone hanging?
Im alive, maybe.... lot going on, getting married, court battle over damage a dingleberry caused, army screwed up my pay (shocker I know), I blew out my shoulder and had to have surgery..... ummmm what else? Truck now has a leak, squeaking to boot.
I read through the last 7 or so pages..... man.... we are missing a bunch of fellas.... what happened?
Anyhows, thats enough of my complaining. I’d like to hear how y’all are hanging!
Morning Pat, and all to follow. I'm moving slower today, took down 5 large trees yesterday after work. They were dead or getting that way. Got all the branches off and the trees cut up into 6' to 8' logs. Today I will cut those down to 12" to 16" for the stove.
