Wife made me get one. She was tired of sitting on the swim plate and kicking her feet. She was threatening to go on strike. Hey, I did buy her a set of jet fins last year!
An age old argument that is still alive and well. One school of thought is that a 4 blade is more efficient than a 3 blade and is supposed to be much quicker out of the hole shot. But an awful lot has to do with the pitch, rake and cup of the blades. This one is an 18° pitch so it kind of falls in the middle of the 'general purpose' range.
One thing that seems to be undisputed is Stainless Steel. They are more efficient than carbon or aluminum. Stainless Steel is rigid and doesn't have the flex or as much propensity to cavitate.

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 60.3 with overcast earlier. Still a little overcast along with forest fire smoke.
Had coffee with other Vets this morning discussing how we have now been labeled by a NY Demon Congresswoman as "domestic security threats". Oh well. Good thing it is garbage day and I can take the trash out now.
