Back in for an ice water break. Trying to get stuff done outside before the heat of the day. But, I also have a nice cool river about 500 yards from the house....

A touch warm, but it is summer time. We do get a month or so of it every year. Not like it doesn't happen every year. Helps keep the moss on our backs under control.
Besides, the Portland and Eugene commie crowd need something to cry about to get the attention changed from the illegal alien, 20 time deported, rape & robbery criminal suspect they refused to hold for ICE. Which hits on the heals of a similar case in 2016 that resulted in 3 farm works being killed by a 6 time deported criminal. Too much negative publicity. Cuts into their tourist dollars.
Or, the clown they let go in Omaha, that while driving drunk, killed a 22 yr old honor student that just graduated from college. They let him go, he disappeared. Go figure.
We've had one week in the triple digits. I just happened to be up in the Wisconsin Dells that week, where it was in the mid 80's!
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else.
Hit 104 today and smoke from the fires in Northern Washington and Canada has greatly affected the visibility here. It's worse than it was when the mountain just to our north was on fire a couple of years ago.
Goodnight everyone. 1,100 miles in 5 days with kids and dogs, 50 feet and 16,000 pounds of vehicle, and climbing at least 4 major mountain ranges in 100+ degrees will wear you out!

Evening Evan, is it time for a vacation to recover from your vacation?
Morning Chris, and all to follow. Camper city around here this weekend for the Oregon Jamboree. Traffic is already terrible, took me twice as long to get to work.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 66.1 and climbing. Supposed to get to 88 today. Been a very nice morning for working outside this morning.
Smoke not near as bad this morning but they still have a 'panic, run, hide, wear an O2 mask' alert up.
You have your refer on a GFI circuit Evan? Only being gone for a week, it shouldn't have been too bad unless it tripped the day you left.
Good morning. Smoke was bad from the Columbia Gorge and down south of Mt. Hood and all through the valley.
For sure! Plus we had a power surge that tripped all our GFCI outlets at home while we were gone, so I came home to a very warm refrigerator.
Evan........NEVER put a refer or freezer on a GFCI ckt....!!!! The start and stop of compressors can trip them too.
Nat Elect Code.......Dedicated outlet for the refer does not have to be GFCI. Same for freezers........
