I'm replacing the rear window in my 76, and I was wondering what you guys recommend for gaskets. LMC has one, but I'm not sure if I should trust the quality.
Just restored my truck. Buy the ones that have the Ford part number from the original tooling people. I made a big mistake buying gaskets from the 3 letter company and I am having to replace most of them. The rear window did fit OK though. The front window and door stuff did not.
The installer for my rear slider that has been doing this for years commented how difficult the installation was. I had a full gasket set from LMC, and the rubber was stiff and not very pliable. I'might not sure what brand he usually uses but said the rubber they use is softer.
When installing door rubber, I had so much trouble with the LMC stiff I ordered a set from DC and the rubber was much higher quality and much easier to work with.
