Hi lbcarguy. I see you have a '77 F250 and live in CA? I am looking at buying a '77 highboy F250 that is currently registered in Washington state but is located in CA. I live in CA. The owner said the smog equipment has been removed. I've heard all the nightmares but it sounds like you know what you are doing when it comes to smogging. How difficult would it be to get the parts, and what would the cost be of such a project? I am not a mechanic so would have to have the work done by someone. The truck is in great shape and basically exactly what I want as far as looks go. Unfortunately it has a 400 motor which I understand isn't the best. Any help appreciated!

I've read some of your posts and would really appreciate your advice about my truck. Here's a pic. My tires are dry rotted, but have wrangler LT casings, but I think with vintage highway tread. I should replace them, but realized that one is a 16" while the others are 16.5. More info later. Thanks for your help.
