Strange noise

when I floor my 05' 6.0 it doesn't have a lot of power the black smoke rolls the boost goes to 20+. When I let off the throttle I get a sound that reminds me of a jake brake. This is anytime I back off even at 1000 RPM. Anyone know this sound?

Any codes like low boost? What are you using to read live data?

All I have is a cheep scanner that don't work on the truck, or I don't know how. what makes the turbo fart?

Get something like a Scangauge II to monitor vitals, pay me now to keep an eye on things or pay me large sums of money later when you throw the kitchen sink at it guessing what the problem is.
Forscan is a free download to your laptop, then get one of these to read to the laptop via the OBD port

The farts are prlly related to a dirty turbo, i.e. the unison rings and vanes are getting coked up. The good thing is the turbo kits are pretty cheap and it's not a hard job from what I have seen(have not done on yet)
You baby that thing? If so, it needs to be driven like you stole it once a week, keeps things moving freely and happier. A church driver or grocery getter a 6.0 is not, and will act as such unless you show it who's boss on occasion.
