They say a picture is worth 1000 words. Don't be fooled by the apparent dim looking pictures, I was using a modified "app" to test out dimmer and brightness settings. I will get updated pictures when I find it to be convenient.
I purchased mine from ebay seller "lizpo001" Current auctions:
The harness is claimed to be "plug and play" but this is false. On the supplied harness there ignition lead is wrong and there is no dimmer. I have the XLT, so no steering wheel buttons and eliminated the CAN BUS decoder from the harness. You should buy a stock adapter and wire correctly:
You need to drill holes in the body and use the brackets from your old radio:
(Old Radio)
(Aftermarket)
After you get it installed correctly, I highly recommend to root the unit and flash the OS to an updated version.
How is radio reception? I refuse to pay for radio and there are enough stations within 50 miles that I can switch stations if I don't like what they are playing. The problem I have is how hilly it is. I need a good tuner.

I find reception to be at least equal, if not better than what the stock unit was.
Hows the sound,I hope better than stock. The cheaper units usually cheap out on the amp section.
The head unit amplifier leaves a lot to be desired hooked up to the stock speakers. I have aftermarket speakers and amplifiers I will be installing this spring.
These units come with two sets of pre-outs with an additional sub channel. You also have the ability to run a USB DAC, which is what I expect to be utilizing later on.
I installed this one in my 2004 EX Limited. It required no mounts and just slid right in tightly. A Metra Ford side wiring adapter was used. It required no other adapters as the head unit is programmable for the steering controls. Works fine and has 5.1 android loaded with 2 gig ram. I connect it to the internet via Hotspot on my phone. Google nav or the installed IGO nav works fine. Backup and dash cams and the OBDII devices from Joying are being used as well.

Thanks and one more thing what year is your truck? Looking at the ebay ad it wasnt showing it fit 2005 F350 so just wanted to make sure. Your truck looks similar in years but wasn't sure. You have electronic 4x4 on dash where mine is shifter on floor. Otherwise dash looks same so should fit?

I may be the first to ask but I bet not the last. Do you have a link to the place you got
your head unit from or the manufacture? I think it would be nice to not have to root
the silly thing when you first install it. The Pioneer I have is starting to act up. As I
understand it the OS is Windows imbedded and is not too hard to mess with. BUT I just
want some thing that works and keeps working.
Android is the best that way you can always update the OS. Unlike IPhones your limited until Apple releases update.
Not to mention all the other gadgets you can do once it's rooted.
Back on track here both units are great but for the cost I'm most likely going to with the non joying one. For sound quality I plan to run amplifiers anyhow.
