Yeah I called Greens (on the telephone) and they do indeed have one for 45.00 plus shipping. I'll probably talk myself into it before the week is over.
To answer your previous question, he claims it is a C8TZ-14289-FC although I cant read that on the package. That number comes up nowhere.
Surely the FC doesn't mean for a forward control. It doesn't.
Not the same, C8TZ-14289-FC was replaced by D4TZ-14289-R
Post #3: C7TZ-14289-Y was replaced by D4TZ-14289-P as was D0TZ-14289-K and a gazillion other part numbers.
FoMoCo is in-famous for replacing/updating 10's of 1000's parts numbers EVERY YEAR!
It was a PITA back then and still is today. And the thing is, these replaced part numbers disappeared from updated parts catalogs, so there was no references.
Bill, here is the picture of what the seller says is for my 69 f-250. It has at least 3 extra connectors that my original doesn't have. Mine has the 3 connectors for the coil, temp and oil senders and on the other end it has one 3 terminal male/female connector. That's it.
That sounds like a D4AZ14289R. Which also replaced a gazzilion other part numbers because it was rather long. You might call these guys and have them eyeball and measure their D4AZ14289R. I'll betcha it will work.
