Stealth Module - 2011-2017 Ford Powerstroke

Has anyone tried one of these? For the cost their claims seem to be really high.

https://www.stealthmodules.com/produ...nt=25625801801

Increase (low-end) torque (up to 120 ft lbs of torque)

Increase horsepower (up to 100 hp increase)

Increase throttle response

Brings your power curve down to where you need it most

Plug and play OEM style connectors
Most customers see a 10-20% increase in fuel mileage when combined with a conscience change in driving habits. Results vary on every vehicle.

Stealthy technology that will not void your warranty (does not leave footprint)

Does not increase maximum rail pressure beyond stock parameters

Eliminates an extra pulse of your injector that usually sprays raw fuel right out your exhaust (>5% of your fuel use saved)

No increase in exhaust temperatures

Includes a selector switch with 4 modes (stock, 30, 60, and 100hp) to manually adjust the potential of the module *

It will void your warranty soon as you use it, are trucks record any horsepower and torque changes out of ordinary and will be used against you on any warranty claim, our trucks have plenty of power, it's not worth it.

This is a first that I have heard the claim that the truck records that info. Do you have anything that I can reference to read up about that?

I am not worried about more more but the increased fuel economy would be great.

Also, how would Ford be able to prove you used a device like this that caused increased HP or Torque if the claims that the manufacturer are making about no fingerprint left behind?

I am not looking to cause problems with my warranty or cheat Ford but I do like to research online claims as best as I can.

If you could fool the computer into giving all of those benefits and no down side, Ford would have programmed it that way to begin with. You can get more power by dumping more fuel, but you will clog up your DPF faster. The increased mileage claims seem quite silly to me.

Until you get into 2nd gear (DRW) or 4th gear (SRW), Ford limits the power so you don't destroy the transmission or just shred your tires. You can make your truck a lot faster by removing the torque management, but I don't think it will last long.

Imagine full power from a stop. 925 ft-lbs on the input side of the torque converter results in 1850 ft-lbs on the output side. That is 450 ft-lbs more than the transmission is rated for.

For my case (F450), that 1850 ft-lbs would be multiplied by 3.97 (1st gear) and 4.30 (axle ratio), giving over 31,500 ft-lbs (less losses) to the axles. Even with the max payload in the truck, that would break all four rear tires loose on dry pavement.

I removed the tip-in delay and torque management on my 2009 F150 5.4, and it makes it more fun to drive. (Even my 5.4 can light up both tires if I want to.) With the crazy power of the new 6.7, I think there is much more risk to playing this game.

I'm fairly skeptical myself, about online claims. But, the biggest claims I'd want to research are someone claiming to offer the winning lottery ticket of....
Lots more HP
Lots more torque
Better throttle response
Moving the entire torque curve to exactly where you want it
Much better MPG
And...stealth technology to keep your warranty

The inline programmer still leaves info that it was there for the simple fact that if it increases fuel pressure, injector timing etc. These are recorded because they are not normal readings. Sure you can remove the device and take it in but how do you plan on explaining the high readings? If the tech suspects you have tuned it he can void the warranty. Do you have the money to fight them in court? If you do then you probably wouldn't be worried about the consequences of tuning in the first place.
I have tuned my last three ecoboosts as well as my '15 SD. I had no issues, however I used the conservative tow tunes not the hot tunes.
Finally I have never had a tune give me much better fuel economy- probably not even enough difference to pay for the tuners and tunes
Ford doesn't do this stuff for several reasons. For one- emissions.
