8-ball

can anyone give me an hint what is the thread on the shifting lever (1977 F150 auto), if one wants to mount an 8-ball...

there are smaller bowls with 50mm or 38mm instead the 57mm bowl.

There is no thread if it's column shift. The factory handle end is glued or press fit onto the arm. The bare arm, with the end removed, will just have splines or knurling.

Yep. A simple tap/die job will solve that though.

Just something to think about...

if the shifter detents have too much slop the weight of a billiard ball could inadvertently shift the trans if ya hit a large bump or dip.
