Ford 390 Dizzy install question

Been there, seen that.....I've had to reinstall a few of them using only grease to hold the rod inside the dizzy due to having no clip... And I know I have retrieved them from inside the block with a magnet or something right after they have fallen off. I was probably just lucky though.
