cruise control

I have a 1997 f150, the cruise control quit working. Initially, sometimes after braking hitting resume or set would not work. Then it just quit working.

I swapped out the servo and changed the brake switch. Power is going to servo and brake press, brake switch. At the servo plug ground and powers all seem to be ok.

I can't figure out how to pull switches on wheel out far enough to verify wiring there.

Can anyone help? Thanks

How do I remove the cruise control multi-function switch from my 1997 f150? Thanks

To get at the switches in the steering wheel you need to remove the airbag.
I've seen dead switches in these and also problems with the clockspring. The clockspring is the piece that electrically connects the steering wheel switches to the steering column while allowing the steering wheel to turn. The clockspring is behind the steering wheel.
