The oem mirrors are indeed made over sea's. The difference is the specification of the product results is superior build quality. So for the Same $350.00 you can buy Ford Oem Mirrors From Dealerships on E-bay, with warranty's.
And replacement parts like glass!!

I haven't tried but I'd bet I could install factory replacement glass in a 1aauto or equivalent housing.

Haha I wouldn't call telling the truth about there products putting my boot on there throat. Just thought I would warn people in cold climates to beware. Honestly I really like the fit and look of the mirrors and everything works good on them just the cold weather issues. Anyways I will be contacting them as soon here and we will see what they say.

They don't look like they are power adjust (main glass) nor with turn signal. Hope they are heated, but I'd be skeptical. Still think I'd go with A1 or.. (I love mine from Anthony & Julie at SuperDutyService.

I've decided to stick with the originals. I happen to like the rounded corners vs the square. and to me, the turn signals and power in/out and fold are niceties I really don't need. The only time I fold both is when going through a wash, and I have no issue folding mine for the bank and drive thru. The only time they get extended is with the TT and that is maybe 3 times a year.

And I save a few hundred bucks to spend on something else!

I should probably add that I got used to looking in the bottom mirror, then the top. Got it down now, but it was tricky at first when I would forget and look down 2nd!

I contacted them and mine are still under warranty so they are sending me a new set no questions asked. So that's pretty good of them although I'm not convinced the new set will be much better but I'd be crazy not to try. Anyways just thought I would update this thread. I'll let everyone know how the new ones work out. Fingers crossed.

I've had good luck with various things that I have bought from them. I bought a side tow mirror (old style) for my pick up 5 years ago and it is still in great shape. Glad they are taking care of you.

Just an extra on this. I just got off the chat with 1A Auto. They said that the Trail Ridge Mirrors brand they sell are better than their standard 1A Auto mirrors. The Trail Ridge are supposedly at "OEM quality" (their words) I'm finally gonna bite the bullet and buy the Trail Ridge mirrors. I finally got to sit in a 2016 with them and it really is better than mine even with C-Better spots.

Is there a thread on wiring for the turn signal and marker lights? Mine is a 2005 and I have not looked at the wiring diagrams yet. I know it can be done, just which way is the question.

Mine have been wavey since day one. Didn't think there was anything better then OEM so I left them. Bought them on Ebay but not 100% percent sure they are 1A Auto. Thinking about trying some different ones once I am home again and can return them if necessary. Going to look on 1A auto site since I went on Ebay last time, maybe talk with one of there reps.Update: looks like I will be buying a set from 1A auto since mine are just some kind of ebay ****.

Bion, we have the same EXs, '05 XLT V-10s and my 1AAuto ( the regular ones, with no distortion, waves or vibrations) '08+ tow mirrors were plug and play with all features ( heat, power adjust, signals and running lights) fully functional. There was an adapter pigtail included, I can't remember if I needed to use it or not but everything plugged in and worked, I don't think you will need to do any wiring.
