Question mounting cooler?

Need some advice from the experts here. I bought a tru cool transmission cooler the other day day and went to mount it in front of the radiator and gee, to my surprise there isnt anywhere to really mount it. I have a 01 PSD crew. Has anyone put one in their truck and where did you mount it to? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When I install them, I put them in the very front - in front of the A/C condensor. You get the most benefit by giving them the coolest air possible, and not mounting them behind anything.

The kit should have special zip-ties that pass through the condensor fins and secure the cooler directly to the condensor.

mounting cooler?

I just installed an additional cooler in series with my stock last week. I didn't like the options that came with the cooler, so made a simple little bracket out of some material used to put adjustable shelving on a wall. I then bolted the cooler to the bracket, then spot welded the bracket to some metal up front. It is very secure, in the exact spot I wanted it, and the spot welds will be easy to remove should I need to. Took a little longer than using the zip ties, but I'm more comfortable with the installation.

Did the 01's come with a tranny cooler? I thought that was one of the things they did to make the auto tranny better.

they did come with a small cooler but I wanted a little extra protection. It did come with the zip ties but I wanted something a little more stable. there isn't any mettel up front, even the cross support is plastic. was going to mount the top brackets there and then the bottem bracket to the bumber. thank ya'll for the advice though. gave me some more options.
D-R, when u use the zip ties have you ever had any problems with them coming loose?

I haven't had any problems with the ties coming loose. The "zip ties" I'm referring to aren't normal zip ties either. Look at the picture Here Those black ties with the wide caps are the zip ties that I use. They sandwich the cooler right to the A/C condensor. It seems to work all right for me.

The transmission coolers and oil coolers from the factory are pretty small on the F350s, even with the towing and camper packages. I notice the tranmission coolers on our E250 is very small, so we replaced them with the transmission pan coolers. The only problem is the tubes get dirty faster.
