Brett,
Did you already get a VIN and / or window sticker? You are the last f450 before mine on the spreadsheet and our order dates are only two weeks apart. I've been kind of using your status as a barometer for what I might expect.

I'm the one 2 weeks after that. I wonder who ordered a F450 today to be the next one in the 2-week apart chain.

I took an order September 25th for a 450 Platinum that the dealer had in for 2 months.. It got assigned Priority 01 because I needed it to go to Florida in November. Now has an ETA of Feb 16.... Starting to get frustrated because I sold my 15 Long Horn 3500 in Sept because I was promised the truck and have no HD truck to pull my RV. Missed 2 trips so far.
That's a long wait!!!
I to have been with out my 2011 dually seen mid October not that I really need my new truck right now but still counting the days dealer has 2 2017's on the lot there beautiful I took the lariat out once and can't believe the deference!
Received my VIN today! For those tracking the details: F-450, ordered 05Dec16, on a dealer priority of 10. Scheduled for week of 06Feb17. Dealer submitted both retail and stock orders, retail order got picked up while the stock order is still "Unscheduled-Clean". Spreadsheet updated.
I had speculated that Ford probably waited for a minimum order number before changing the line over for dually production. Will be interesting to see how many other dually orders get scheduled for this particular build week.
I will make the assumption at this point that there are no more "constraints" on the 450.
I'm with you that it makes sense that Ford would "batch schedule" similar trucks. However, I've watched a couple of videos of the KTP assembly process that showed SRW and DRW trucks coming down the line, one after the other, with no apparent plan or logic. After seeing that, I have just assumed that it's the luck of the draw.
For what it's worth - I do not know about KTP, however; i have toured the Rouge plant where they build F-150's and some things I learned there that probably apply to ours.
The Rouge was the only plant to build Raptors and yet they were sprinkled in with all the other cab, trim and bed combinations. On of the workers there said that the mix up all the combinations and colors to break the monotony of the workers. He (a line worker) said it's a big deal when something as simple as a new color comes down the line.
Also they work using on time delivery, so if a supplier is behind it isn't going to be started, since each station get to work on the truck for 66 seconds. That's right a new truck rolled out the door every 66 seconds!
