Hmmm....ordered a F450KR on 12/5. Received no indications of anything out of the ordinary. Interesting...

 

I tried to write the message on his screen down. It said "6-M511-info x4l Limited Slip Axle On Order." My salesman thought that meant they were waiting on the axle.

 

Is your order accepted or still in processing? My 12/9 order is still in processing. I'm not sure how long it takes to show up on the Ford site. It was a priority 10, so I'm hoping it will make it tbrough.

 

The letter did say the body code w4d I think which is f-450 with l4r I think Axle code and that's 4:30 Ls gear ratio the 450 pickup can only be ordered with 4:30

Bottom line I think there's going to be a delay
I got my window sticker today and build date of 22nd so I don't think it will affect my order but feel bad for any new orders for awhile

 

How long has it been taking between the order being placed and the order showing up on Ford Custom Order Tracking | ordertracking.ford.com.

Also, the tools says it's for "Custom order tracking;" my order is a priority 10, which I think is "dealer stock." Will it even show up there at all?

 

I have a friend that was working on a order with his dealer today. Per this thread I had him ask the dealer about the listed constraints. They received no such list. IDK?

I started the order mid September priority 10 then 19 then 01 long story
Got my vin mid October

As of two days ago, it is still processing. My dealer order two trucks for me...one as stock and one as retail. Once one gets picked up by Ford, he will cancel the other.

I won't actually NEED the truck until April or May. I purposely waited to order until now, so the first few months of actual production could identify most of those "gotchas" that are inherent to building anything new. Such as the ill-fitting tranny line. And this allows 5 to 6 months to get through production. Surely it will be delivered by then.

I'm going to try to limit myself to only check for updates every two weeks. Of course, sooner is always better!

 

When we picked up our truck yesterday our salesperson said that anyone ordering an SD now is looking at a 12 week delay.

 

Donlen says 12-14. ARI says 16-18.

 

Sorry not sure I understand this is the numbers in red mean 16-18 weeks of delay?

 

Donlen's data hasn't been updated since 10/28, so not sure how relevant that is now. But, it's better that just the rumor mill.
