My phone is an iPhone 6s, with the latest software update.....10.-something I think. Got all my contacts synced easily and it works great. But, for some reason I can't get the chime to work for text messages or emails. The settings in both the truck and the phone say they're on, but if I just have the radio on, the phone only vibrates at a text or email. However, if I am talking on the phone using the SYNC and get a text message, I can hear the chime beep in to the call. What am I doing wrong? I've tried disconnecting it, and setting it back up again.....same thing.
I don't have my truck yet but I did have the problem on my wife's car. You have to set "show notifications" to on under Bluetooth settings (my devices) if you haven't already. It was off when I got my phone.

I have a Galaxy S6 and it all works fine. My wife has the IPhone 6 but I I haven't installed her contacts or tried it. I my go try it in a few minutes. If I do I will let you know.
My Galaxy worked fine but not my iPhone until I set "show notifications" to on under Bluetooth options. Works OK now but it may be different on the Super Duty.

This, had to set show notifications on phone now all works well on the new girl.
I can listen to my text messages from my IPhone 6s on the Sync3, but when I try to reply Sync says "cannot find a number for that contact"
It only does this if a text comes from a contact, if the text comes from a non contact then there is no problem.
