iPhone 7 running latest software. Every time I drive the truck my phone links via BT as it's supposed to. However, when I get out and the phone disconnects, the phone's volume is maxed. I usually figure this out when I get an text or email alert at full blast. Anyone else experience this? Is there a setting on my phone that would disable the trucks control over the phone's volume? This phone has been linked to three other vehicles and many other devices and none have had this effect on it...
I have the exact same issue, but using CarPlay. I found out the first morning when my iPhone alarm went off at 100% volume. Given that I keep it at the lowest setting, that was a big surprise. I have to turn it down every night.
I am on an iPhone 6 Plus. I took it in for the 1st service & they blamed apple. They also asked several times if it was an iPhone 7 because that it not a supported device.
Thanks guys... Except Tony... Since it's a common issue, it leads me to believe that it will be addressed in a future update. The wife's SUV had all kinds of issues when iOS 10 came out. It shook out a few updates down the road.
Let me ask this question while this thread is iPhone related.
If you make a call through your phone and pick "iPhone" on the iPhone screen, instead of it automatically choosing to Bluetooth "F350"
Does it disconnect from the iPhone and revert to the truck's Bluetooth after about 15seconds?
It doesn't do it if "privacy" is picked from the Sync screen, but that can only be activated once the call is answered by the other party.
It's not easy to have a private conversation.
