Super Duty valve cover gaskets

97 F250 PSD 4X4 Auto
After changing my original gaskets out to ones from the local parts house I have the same problem again, IDM shutting down one bank when cold after only 10K miles.
Just received the Super Duty gaskets, UVCHs and pigtails from Riffraff. I know I have seen this answered before, but a search came up empty. Do you tie the common wire from each connector together per side when installing the newer gaskets?
Wanting to get this mod done this weekend if possible. Thanks for any assistance.

Is there a burnt pin or some other issue with the new gaskets you can see? A bad injector solenoid will also cause the IDM to shut down one bank.

It will ohm out within spec, but it will be 0.5 - 1 ohm lower than the other injectors when you test it. Just something to keep in mind.

Burned both GP pins on the RR plug. On cold starts you can unplug this one and it makes no difference. Within a mile it'll pick up these cylinders and run right until parked overnight. Pretty much the same thing it was doing last year.

When I did it, I opened up the harness and found where the common wire Y was and eliminated it. It was a little more work, but either method will do.

Probably what I'll do since I plan to pull the harness and do the splicing on the table instead of with my **** in the air and my head down.

I'm pretty sure you know this already, but you need to solder the splices.

I'm amazed out how many people solder these wires with the harness still on the engine. Its a way bigger pain to do that than pull the harness and work comfortably on the bench. I mean it takes like, what, 10 minutes to pull and install.

Soldering iron and solder already on the table waiting on the harness!
