Look under the Ford basic number for spark plugs (12405) and see what it says: ASF-42
I believe you. But that is not what my Owner's Manual says.

I guess we are both right, and Ford can't seem to make up their minds on which spark plug to use.

Ok...so just to close the gap here. The problem wasn't the plugs...but the lug...LUGHEAD that is. Either my friend or I had accidentally disconnected the 4 port vacuum connection on the passenger side. It wasn't until I did a "thorough" look over the entire engine did I notice it. Thanks you all for all the information and help!!

Huge vacuum leak, that'll do it.

Thanks for the followup.
