hey I have a 99 Ford explore I recently discovered that some corrosion and a broken terminal was on my battery and I was wondering what that cause that car excuse me truck not the turnover and what do I need to do to get it operational again
Corrosion is common on battery terminals as they get older.
If you're talking about a broken terminal on the battery cable, then you need a new cable. Available at most auto stores. Probably best to change them both.
- You MIGHT need a new battery as well.
Corrosion would weaken the terminal on the cable.
If it's the actual terminal post on the battery itself, you need a new battery -- wouldn't hurt to get new cables as well.
If the actual battery terminal is broken, it got whacked pretty hard by something.
Truck can't start if the battery isn't well connected.
