When I plugged in my digital code reader while KOEO, I received the following...
21 O – Cooling temperature sensor out of specified range or ECT out of range.
22 O – Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) or BARO sensor out of range.
24 O – Intake Air Charge Temperature (ACT, IAT) sensor or Vane Air Temperature (VAT) sensor out of range.
67 O – A/C input high
10 – Clear/Reset
11 C – System OK
then, if your "chugchugchug" is at a normal speed, the problem is not in your starting system and you need to start looking at fuel and spark. considering that you have been able to start it on occasion, i would (for the moment) rule out a spark issue and would start looking at fuel. you are going to need to buy, rent, or borrow a fuel pressure gauge and test fuel pressure. fortunately, ford made this easy by putting a schraeder valve on the fuel rail.
also, when you turn the key to the "run" position, you should hear your fuel pump run for a second then stop.
