Starter Issues
ok first to start off i did a search and didn't come up with much, anyway, my truck is a '79 F-150 with a 351M, i just got done changing the motor and went to start it and the battery was dead, so i put the charger on it and tried again, the solenoid started clicking like mad, and then all of the sudden, the starter came on and stayed on, it stays on even if i pull the ignition wire off of the solenoid, so to me it seems like the solenoid welded together because the starter is on all the time, but when you put the charger on there it sparks like crazy, i have triple checked all the stuff i hooked back up and it seems in order, i am stumped, any ideas?

It should stop if you pull the S terminal wire off of it.
Low battery starts can cause starter solenoid problems like the one you describe.
FULLY charge the battery and try again.
If it persists... replace the solenoid.
