Lundi is 80# now and has made it clear she expects equal time in the Super Duty. She has her own Carhartt seat cover to keep the back seat protected.
I haven't had a new truck in 15 years so excuse me if this is known stuff to you guys. Being in Florida overheating anything in a vehicle can be an issue. I have looked in the manual and it says the SD will continue to run 5 minutes if you leave it running and the parking brake is on. It will run 15 minutes with the parking brake off. Is this the final word or is there a way to keep the vehicle running longer or indefinitely? There are places that you cant take a 80# dog so she would have to sit in the truck. I would never plan to leave her even 15 minutes but would feel better if there was a way to keep it running.
Nimrod, I have found that going in to ADVANCED SETTINGS - VEHICLE - scroll to ENGINE IDLE OFF and make sure that this is NOT checked, you will have to do this each time you go and leave your truck running with Lundi inside as the truck will default to checking ENGINE IDLE OFF in the menu each time you shut the truck off and re start it. This is a real PITA (we have 6 dogs). I am concerned that others will not be made aware of this issue and pets will die from heatstroke or freeze to death. If anyone knows how to reset the default permanently to NOT shut off please message me.
Thanks,
