Well it's started,snow..my 97 powerstroke e fuel conversion worked.however excessive pressure 90psi is causing a problem . can I install a facet electric lift pump in place of the stock "pusher" e pump? I'm trying to drop pressure to stock fuel bowl assembly . without a regulator . seems to me it should work . see it used on idi,
why not a powerstroke ?
No I have eliminated the mechanical fuel pump completely out of the Valley of Death and installed a stock 2002 electric fuel pump on the cab. It's rated for 56 PSI the pump however my pressure gauges indicate that by the time it gets to the fuel bowl it's making 90 PSI. I believe the restrictions in the line created by the tank selector valve on the frame is upping the pressure. I want to lessen the pressure to the stock fuel bowl by putting in a dura lift (faccet) electric pump. Outside of excessive fuel consumption and it now takes 4 seconds to start the truck rather than two it works very well . I've seen it in an IDI ,just seeing if anyone has ever used it in a powerstroke .
