gpm of fuel pump??

gpm of fuel pump??

thinking of installing an electric fuel pump on 92 w/7.3 idi nonturbo. how many gpm of fuel do i need? im pretty new at this so i appreciate any addditional thoughts on this thx.

not to sure on the gpm thing but i know you need a pump that puts out between 4 and 7 psi. nothing no more than that though.

The standard manual lift pump........

Carter pump #M60278
Pressure Rating: 4 lb - 6 lb
Gallons Per Hour: 23

The IP really only needs 2 psi.

The Holley red is:
Free Flow Rate: 97 gph
Maximum Pressure (psi): 7 psi

Why would anyone want to circulate 3 times the fuel required for no reason.
