It is about 8 miles to the dealer. Made the trip 3 times in four days to check the lot after dark!! Weekends full of hunting and weekdays trying to get some chores done. Maybe tomorrow even clear out the shop drive in floor which is full of summertime leftovers to be put away. Still behind and have to decorate front yard x-mas tree, got to get some photos printed for the cabin wall of racks so I avoided it all and did paperwork today which has been lagging behind. Salesgirl will call Jack Cooper again in the morning to try to track down delivery date. Supposed to be today but no show. Maybe lost in Buffalo or some point in-between. Maybe driver quit and abandoned truck in no-where land. (We had a driver quit who hid the truck and turned the reefer up to 90 deg on a load of meat. Couldn't find for 2 weeks. Whewh). Need to wait for a snowstorm to properly baptize in brine before delivery anyway.
Any rate, after this long the anticipation is gone from where it was back in Sept when the first ETA came along. It will still be exciting and welcome but the additions and trinkets to install have been looming long enough and almost seem like a chore rather than a goal after this much time. But once it gets here? Who knows....get the torklifts on and the camper tiedowns and the camper wiring and a few miles break-in and maybe a road trip in January, but won't plan too hard the way things go with Ford. And if they do crash the portable parking lot on the way in? Grab the camera and write a great free lance article for the local on line paper I write for. Bet it could be a hell of a write up!!!
AND thanks guys for the support and faith toward the end goal.........the journey is as important as the destination.
