Truck started losing power then service engine light came on, drove about another mile then it just stalled ( almost home lees than a 1/4 mile). Got out open hood oil everywhere on top of motor. Looked under truck and oil all over the road. Looked back where I was driving a line of oil as far an I could see. Checked oil barely any on stick. Where should I start hpop or plug?
Only thing I know of that will drain you out that quick is one of your HPOP oil lines, have they ever been replaced?
and when did you check your oil last?
well, your in the zone, be careful looking around under there with it running, That's very high pressure oil in there. It will bite you if you are not........ Everything else is pretty much O rings on the topside, they won't bleed out as fast.
I'd tow it home, wash the motor down really good, replace both HPO lines and fill with oil. Then see how she runs. You will have some air in there but it should clear out. After you wash it down also check your HPOP really close to make sure it is intact.
