Auto Headlight - Sensitivity setting

I just had my windshield lightly tinted - 3M Crystalline 70 and have noticed that my headlights turn on/off frequently. My belief is that the sensor now has tint covering it so that it appears darker to it. I wanted to know if there is a sensitivity setting for the auto headlights that I can adjust? Thanks!

There is not anything you can do from the menus...perhaps the Ford dealer with IDS or the FORScan software could help...but I doubt it. You could try removing the plastic cover over the light sensor; it looks pretty dark, but not sure how to lighten it up.

I have the same issue with mine, even with the delay set to 2 minutes, and I haven't added any tint to any of the windows. I don't recall every having this with the Fusion we traded in. Seems to be the worst on the drive home with the sun setting and going in and out of areas shaded by buildings.

So far I'm only on day 2. I did SunTek CIR 60% tint to the sunroof, back and rear windows, SunTek 30% to the front windows and 3M Crystalline 70% to the Windshield.

So far its been cold in SoCal and lots of wind. When getting in the truck its done an excellent job of maintaining the temperature which I initially had set inside the cabin for up to 3 hours. The glare has been reduced (there was not a lot previously) but by in large its done a great job in helping keep the temp where I like it.
When we have some hot days (we will living here) I'll have a better idea how it does at reducing the heat buildup, as it got toasty with the sunroof exposed last week.
