brake pads

Looking for a good brake pad for me 2011 f250. Something good for towing and doesn't make noise. Should i stick with motor craft or get something better?

I will only go back with OEM pads. They do very well and last. No squeak too.

No dusting with the stock pads either.

I get lots of dust form stock pads. I would look at a good aftermarket pad such as Bendix or similar and maybe ceramic.

I'm using EBC yellow compound right now. They're very dusty but they're also very grippy. I tow all the time and the stock pads perform ok when towing heavy but these yellow pads do give me more stopping power with a heavy load. They do create a lot of black dust though so there is a trade off.

My factory pads turn my black wheels brown in short order. I like stopping power, but not dusting my wheels would be great!

Stock pads on my 16 dust bad. I wash my truck on the weekend and by Friday they are covered with brake dust. I agree they are quite and seem to do a good job of stopping.

OEM's work great but they do dust my platinum wheels. If I have the truck long enough to change them I will be looking for some ceramics.

I just switched to HAWK SD pads (super duty) they have a step down from the SD called LTS. Hawk makes great racing pads and i have used their truck pads for years. Much more initial bite that OE, I tow about 8000 lbs so the SD pad is a heavy duty pad will take the heat of long braking. one word of caution, Hawk does not ship them with the pad hardware, like some manufactures including Ford do, you have to buy that at the parts store, but I think the Hawk pad is a good heavy duty pad.
