Replacing Upper & Lower Balljoints on EX

After replacing my Wheel Bearings myself (with help from this Forum ) took the Excursion in to have a The front end aligned it checked out fine, But now Hibdons is saying I need upper and lower Ball joints replaced on both sides my 2001 Ford Excursion 2wd gave ne an Quote of $800.00 ..I found a write up on do it yourself , but was for a 4WD ..How hard is this procedure ? And does anyone have a Write up to share fir a 2wd .? Thanks everyone

Found a Video and Found some good stuff in the Tech Folder I can use.. Techs at Hibdon's said the Wear is Marginal on both sides..

I did the uppers and lowers in an afternoon with help from the you tube. Not that bad of a project. Going to now work on blown out spark plugs!

Look at the ball joints in the steering linkages while you're at it. Also look at the bushings in the twin i-beam (more youtube vids for you). I've been at this for a while and am still trying to stop the wandering. Would've been much easier if I had done it all at once instead of taking it apart over and over again to put in more $20 parts.
