I'm in the middle of a stock rebuild for my '70 F100 and I have a couple of intake manifolds to choose from. This is going to be a daily driver that may see temps. as low as 10°F, if the roads are not too salty. I will be using a stock exhaust manifold.
Since its a '70 I'd use the manifold on the left, without EGR supply hole. But use a spacer - either the correct one for that year or the other spacer from the other intake. Carb hookup will go easier with the spacer.
Also note that you may have two different bolt mounting patterns for the carb - 2 11/16 and 2 15/16. The spacer is slotted to accommodate either spacing, but your carb may not be slotted, so a little rat tail file work mat be needed on it.

Thank you for your response, I really appreciate it. I have read several of your posts and you are a great asset to FTE! An EGR port makes sense to me now, I just couldn't figure out why they would have a port there just to block it off? I'll cut off the blank off flange on the spacer and reuse my '70 manifold.
