4x4 intermittent not working

My excursion has not been engaging the transfer case when the switch is turned on. I have ohmed the switch and also tried a known good switch from another superduty. I can get everything to work properly with a snap on MODIS by performing function tests. Any ideas?

Well, for what I'm told is that you need to check you vacuum lines going to the hub.

Look for bad connections at the transfer case motor. Had the same issue ... worked intermittently. Those vacuum hoses to the hubs are junk... get SS lines.

When I had my Ex (2000 Limited V10), the hubs were MIA. I ended up replacing the vacuum junk with manual Warn hubs and never looked back. Are you sure it is the transfer case that is not engaging? Most "4x4 not working" issues on the SDs and Exs are due to the vacuum hubs.

Thanks for the suggestions I will try these and update with the results. I am concerned it may be a problem with the module. I do not hear the relays pulling in when I turn the switch.
