Questions about EGTs

At the time... alleged 80 HP tune on stock truck with 4" downpipe and exhaust (it behaved more like a 100 HP tune). I had the red line mod, and I could just reach 32 PSI boost in spurts - but 28-30 PSI boost was sustained.
The Filter Minder was getting sucked in with a clean filter, and I had already changed the Filter Minder to the old style. I cut a hole on the fender side of the housing and this helped - but it didn't completely nail it. I made the hole bigger, and my Filter Minder started behaving. Basically... the AIS can handle anything a stock truck can do, but a chipped truck is a modified stock - so you need to modify the AIS.
The S&B is decidedly louder - but nothing close to a 6637 in any configuration. The S&B housing is wide open on the fender side, and the snout has a slightly larger opening than the AIS snout. What this says is - it's the housing, it's the housing, it's the housing that limits the flow as much as the filter.
