I've got two fairly (c)rusty drum backing plates that I'd like to replace. Anyone have a part number or source for these? I've got the 8.8" rear end if that helps. I'm up in Canada and everywhere I look I just keep coming up with disc brake plates.
how about remove, sandblast and paint ? Enough left to reuse them ?
The part where all the hardware mounts isn't too bad, but the lip that runs around the outside is basically falling off. Completely gone in some spots and rubbing against the drum in others.
Ive checked out that Dorman link before but it isn't the right part. Should be completely round with a hole at the top for the wheel cylinder.
This is the first piece of hardware I've had trouble finding for the truck, what a pain. Haha. Thanks for the reply Steve.
