I'm okay with this but I still have to be careful.

Missing by an inch is the same as missing by a mile. It's not a variable.

HaHa...I don't think it's a inch, but still the same.

Yes it's probably about an inch from the cab. I purposely turned to the extreme limits of my setup to see what angles I could achieve. You can see that I'm not at 90 degrees but close enough that it works for me. If I turned any more it would be very stressful on the suspension and tires anyway.

I can't turn anywhere near that tight and I've never had an issue without a slider. The only guys who really worry about getting 90 degrees are 5ver owners. Think about the travel trailer guys. The are happy to get half that angle.

Rodney, I would agree. I would never be able to do this with my enclosed trailer. Nor would I try.
The reason I posted the picture was to show what was possible with a short bed truck and a B&W 3300 hitch.

The shape of the 5ver nose cap has a lot to do with this as well. From the profile pictures, it seems your 5ver's cap is "cut back" at the bottom of the nose cap which certainly aids preventing contact.

I'm amazed you got that much clearance Bob. That's great! Do you have your BW set in it's rearward position? Some hitches have front to rear adjustment and some don't. My Reese Elite could be reversed to give you an extra 1.5". My new Curt can not. I know the B&W has even more adjustment but using it supposedly costs you a smoother towing experience.

That's very true. Heartland for example, markets their patented "88 degree front cap" on every model they make. Or at least it used to be every model. I haven't shopped their products in a while... Anyways, my last 5ver was a Road Warrior and I could indeed get a tighter turn than my current one. My XLR's cap is notched which helps but not as much as my RW was.

Yes Rodney the hitch is in the rearward position. I had a Husky hitch that wasn't adjustable forward or back. I broke a rear window in my truck doing a tight turn in a parking lot. It was two inches closer to the cab. I just wasn't paying close enough attention at the time. I'm sure if I had the B&W I would have been O.K.
The corners on the Reflection are recessed. It is also 96" wide. If it was a toy hauler or a wider trailer I wouldn't be able to turn at this angle.

As sharp as you are showing is the maximum stress on the spring equalizers and tires. I always hate getting in situations where the trailer is fully "Jacked" for those very reasons. Grass or gravel is not so bad but I have watched trucks spin around in a parking lot and pull the blacktop right off the ground, something suspensions are not designed to accommodate.

I agree. This was a gravel parking lot. I try to avoid turning sharply on pavement (or gravel) for the reasons you stated.
