Hi everyone. I just had the dealer install the one way remote start add on. Its an additional key fob with a simply start button on it.
I had installed a remote start on my 2011 and one major difference I see is, on the 11, the parking lights and clearance lights stayed on after the truck was started remotely. This was a nice feature as you could see that it actually started. Was also great in a blizzard, so you could find your truck .
I looked through the remote start dash menu and there was only a duration option.
Any techs on here know how to activate the clearance lights + parking lights while remote started option - if such a thing exists!
The best part of the lights on when started is to park in a crowded parking lot with a good spot in the rain. Sit inside enjoying your coffee and start the vehicle. Watch the lot cruisers pull up and wait for the spot. Then shut it off. Repeat 3 times, then go sit in the vehicle, then go back inside. I must have a little devil in me.

Thanks!
The lights on option is usually wired from the control unit and cut into the wiring harness. There may be a connection in the wire loom or they may have to physically cut in. Since you have a trailer you should have the operation directed through a relay. When I first installed the remote on my truck whenever the camper was on board and pulling a trailer it would blow the fuse. The relay took care of the problem.
