DVD remote control

We finally took the grandkids out for a drive. They wanted to watch a movie. I could get the DVD system to work but the remote control does not function. I actually have 3 remotes with two headsets. I replaced all the batteries in the remotes and still I get nothing when I try and use them. I'm I missing something?

We just had to sync the remotes to the player, I was just hitting the on/off button and not getting any response. Once they were turned on manually, just had to sync the remote to the player, DUH!!
