OK, I have a 1990 bronco XLT and by what I'm getting here is that I can go with 33X10.5 R15 on my stock rims and without a lift kit?? I have to be thankful enough for my bronco my hubby sure wouldnt let me get a lift put on it too...he already calls me a redneck HA
In regards to the front lift/leveling coils, I was going to go that route as well before I found out this potential problem: If you have the offset, factory camber bushings (above the upper balljoint), you may have a hard time getting the front end alignment right. Be sure to check this out and see if the new alignment bushings will work for you. I also had problems with alignment on a 6"lift kit with stock radius arms and dropdown brackets. There was no way to get enough caster in the front end, and the right coil spring was actually rubbing one of the shocks. The extended arms helped relieve this problem.
I ordered the Rancho leveling coils. I am aware of the potential alignment problems. My tires are cambered in just a bit at the top now. The taller springs should bring it closer to correct. If not, oh well, it only takes an hour to remove them and I can always dump them on ebay. This is more than likely temporary anyway. I know a 4 inch is in the not so distant future. I won;t be content after I see a few more of you guys do a real lift.
But I just got the truck so I need to spend some time undercoating the undercarriage and fixing some minor body rust before it gets worth. After figuring out how much it costs to do a lift, front locker or LS, wheels and tires etc. It just doesn't make any sense to not get the bodywork done first before it's not so minor. They really throw the salt around in the winter up here.
