33x10.50 tires on 92 F150 4x4...no lift

what are my chances of fitting these on:

33x10.50/15 with a 3.75" backspace wheel - I don't really care about a wide tire, but would like the height.

Will going with the narrow tire get me clearance on the radius arm - I would think that it would at least be the same as with 32x11.50's.

thanks for your opinions/ideas.
Matt

I have a close up on the front tire clearance of my 4x4 with 32s on it. You might be able to fit 10.5s, whether it will look good or not I don't know, i'm not into that huge tire in a small wheel well look, but it is your truck. I think it will fit but you won't have much travel for bumps, speed bumps might be a challenge.

Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Sunroof, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .

Check out my Gallery for a look-see.

Then theres:
99' Mustang GT 4.6L
88' F-250 Superduty 4x4 351/c6
95' Mercury Cougar 4.6L V-8
80' E-350 300/6 with a
3 spd column shifter. Top speed is 65mph, Go Baby Go!

I have a 1992 Extended cab and the 33's we tried to put on rubbed horribly. It made driving a task at best, but i am not trying to discourage you from trying, just giving you my expierence

were they 33x12.50's or 33x10.50's - I am thinking that may make a big difference.

thanks

if your going to buy new rims just go ahead and get a 3 inch body and 15x10 inch rims with 33x12.5. it will look alot better because a 33x10.5 is really skinny looking. trust me i wish i would have gone with 33's. 3 inch body is like 300 bucks.

I'm running 31x10.50x15 on stock 15x7 4" backspaced rims and it only rubs slightly on the left radius arm. I am also thinking of going with 33x10.50x15. I think that your rim choice and backspacing are going to be the key.

I don't think it is going to fit the way you want it, I would suggest getting a 32 by 11.5 instead. Fits fine on the stock rims, no worries and it looks good. Look in my gallery for a photo.

my stock wheels are 15x6, so anything bigger than a stock tire won't fit...so...

I just ordered some 32x11.50's from 4wheel parts on black steel wheels...I got the Pro Comp all terrains...

can't wait

Everyone that has posted has a good point especially rbrendel who might know where I am coming from. When I first bought my 92 F-150 I ran 31x10.50's and they rubbed slightly on both radius arms but i have a 2" lift and 32x11.50 tires on 15x10 deep rims(Eagle Alloy 550's)and I still had to shim the front bumper on the side because the outside of the tires would catch. You are talking about narrow 33's but in my oipinion I would say they are probably gonna rub somewhere or another

Are you SURE they are 15x6? That doesn't sound right, they should be 15x7 or 15x7.5s. If they are 15x7.5s than you can fit 32/11.5s on the stock rims with little rubbing on the radius arm, i dont think mine rubs at all. If you are not sure, take off one of the rear wheels, and the size should be stamped on the inside of the rim. I say rear wheel because it might be easier to see without the brake dust on it, unless you recently rotated your tires.

you have an XL or XLT don't you?, the Custom trim line came with 15x6 wheels - it is actually stamped on the outside on the wheel on mine.

they are the same wheel that is on most e150 delivery vans...

thanks,
Matt
