you can also make a 347 stroker out of a 302 using a 351 crank and a .030 over 302 block, but you would need special pistons and/or rods also you can make a stroker out of a 351 but the 347 is more popular i think one of the 351 stroker's is a 391

JEGS has a performance 302 rated at 345HP. That would be a nice drop in , except the $3339.99 price tag that goes with it. Or they have the 392 stoker that f100guy was talking about, 430HP. That would get peoples attention. Then there's scooter29 460 idea. JEGS "Cobra Jet 460" rated at 535HP WOW!!!. Sorry, I'm not a JEGS saleman I just get excited looking at these engines in the catalog.

if you need some help from anybody just holler it is pretty easy just remember to get a good machine shop, use pre lube for installing you cam and crank and all the moving parts and also prime your oil pump. you do not want to have a dry start. i just built my first 302 it is fun and easy
