I ordered one from a junk yard on fleabay. It looks very close to the original but has a temperature display. By modifying the wiring plug I was able to use it for an internal temperature reading instead of external (which of course the Excursion already has on the overhead console).
My original rear view mirror was going bad. I got these on Amazon for $13 and installed them yesterday. They provide a nice wide view of the rear of the vehicle including the blind spots. This is a well built unit, sturdy. The reflecting surface is glass and not shiny metal. I was worried about night time glare, but was pleasantly surprised while driving home last night. There was no glare from headlights behind. It seems to have the photochromic / transitions sort of effect at night. I just need to get used to this very different view when I look into the rear view mirror. I can now see everything from just over the front passenger seat on the right end of the mirror all the way to my head on the left end of the mirror
This is a 'clip-on' style generic mirror that mounts on top of your OEM mirror. Since these are universal style, they have spring loaded clips to fit over the existing mirror.
