Rear view mirror compatability.
Does anyone know if other rear view mirrors (for instance; Expedition or pickup / superduty) will fit the Excursion? The rear view mirror in the Excursion that I just bought is messed up and I need to replace it. Just not sure what else will fit. I'm having a hard time finding one specifically for the Excursion (eBay).

I actually replaced mine with a junkyard mirror out of an escalade, it is autodimming as well, not that it matters with my dark windows, but also has the 2 map lights built in which I tied into my dome light wiring as well...cost me 15 bucks and WELL worth it..

Agreed. I suppose you noticed the other day how dark all of my rear windows and rear winshield were? I have them pretty much totally blacked out , 5% limo tint (legal in Virginia). I couldn't use a rear view mirror if I wanted to. It's kinda like a pimple on the front windshield.

Most of the Ford mirrors should fit. Most will have the same mounting button but the wiring plugs will be different. If you get one at the wreckers try and see if you can cut the wires on the plug and take that with you and just rewire.
Vasherriff, if that mirror is bugging you, you can take off the mirror and have the button removed to make a clean look.
