Interior Rear View Mirror Replacement
My auto-dim mirror, doesn't dim. I don't have the half-dark symptom, it just doesn't work at all.
I'd like to replace it, but have no interest in spending $75+ on a mirror. So that leaves me looking for a manual mirror.
Does anyone know what manual mirrors will attach to the existing windshield mount? The auto dim is a Donnelly IE8 011530.

I just replaced mine this morning, I bought one out of a self service junkyard for $4.... It has a 6 wire plug, I cut the lock off of the factory plug & plugged it into the notch closest to the mount & it works like a champ.... I got the mirror out of a 2000 windstar.

got mine from a junk yard too, it was a six pin, i just didnt plug it in, good to know I can still use it, I think it was from an Expedition

Mine was looking crusty and not dimming either. I got one of those oversized Japanese mirrors off amazon (the name of it escapes me at the moment). Gigantic improvement. Can see kiddos in the rear, out the back, and portions of side back glass. The stock mirror is way too small in my opinion.
